In February 2017 I visited the Lifestyle Holiday Resorts in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic for the first time. I have been too many All Inclusive resorts in Jamaica and was totally blown away by this resort. We stayed in the Royal Suites (one bedroom suite). The area of the resort is a cluster of six (two and three floor ) apartment style suites, it was previously used to house the resort staff and was renovated several years ago to accommodate guests. The suites were homey and clean and offered more than enough room for both of us. I loved the small pool area located just outside suite. The pool bartender, Happy Happy is what he calls himself, was so friendly and accommodating. The service at this resort was like nothing I have ever experienced before. We tried several of the resort restaurants and decided to try The Gourmet to celebrate John’s 50th birthday, the food was to die for- 5 star all the way! We especially liked that you could enjoy fine dining without having to wear formal attire. Although the dining experience was top notch, the atmosphere was inviting and not “stuffy” at all. There are so many restaurants to choose from we didn’t have enough time to try them all. We loved that each beach offered a different theme, activities and food. You will never get bored at this resort. There is entertainment each night at the Colossium, a huge Welcome Party (in prime season), a Vegas style show, Bravissimo , on Thursday nights and daily activities held around the pools and on the beach. If you prefer peace and quiet there are plenty of private cabana’s and beach areas to enjoy the serenity of this amazing resort. If you have never been to an All Inclusive resort I would definitely give Lifestyle Holiday Resorts a try- you won’t be disappointed!
